All About Laser Dentistry

The demand for lasers in dentistry is growing rapidly. Lasers provide absolute versatility in substitution of drills or blades, with more accuracy and precision, and comfort to the patient. At Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry we use the BIOLASE Waterlase © MD, one of the most state-of-the art dentistry laser technologies in the industry.
Many patients prefer laser dentistry over traditional methods because they can avoid the annoying numbness of local anesthesia and instead, enjoy a pain free dental experience with laser dentistry.

Pictures speak louder than words, so have a look for yourself at some of the successful laser dentistry procedures we've performed at Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry.

Soft-tissue Procedures
Soft-tissue procedures, as it relates to dentistry, are procedures that most often involve the gums. Laser dentistry has proven quite successful in a vast array of soft-tissue cosmetic dentistry treatments, including gingival recontouring, frenectomies, and crown lengthening. Compared to more conventional approaches, laser dentistry provides a pain free treatment option and allows for a speedy recovery.

Hard-tissue Procedures
Hard-tissue procedures involve the teeth and bones. Laser dentistry in these types of procedures is utilized in trimming or reshaping a tooth's surface, most commonly in preparation for tooth restorations like porcelain veneers. Patients can expect fast, painless and effective results, often in only one visit.
